last night,
i turned up the shower really hot,
turned out all the lights,
and laid down at the bottom of the tub
letting the hot water fall on me.
i stayed there just praying and thinking until the hot water ran out.
i got out feeling calm, resolved, and ready for some change.

ReplyDeletesong is also very efficient when you don't have a shower near you and that you need to escape from your problem for a few minutes.
I will end with a sentence that I love : "Don’t worry about the world coming to an end today. It’s already tomorrow in Australia."
i think i should try that! ;)

Hot water can be very therapeutic. My favorite thing is a nice hot bath.
ReplyDeleteSounds like good therapy to me!
ReplyDeletei do this sometimes. baths and showers always make me feel so much better, i get my best thinking done in there. i'm an emotional bather, no doubt about that!

ReplyDeletereminded me of:
A woman is like a tea bag- you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water.

LOVE to you!
It's a good way to relax.
ReplyDeleteTake it one moment at a time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
i hope that you are okay! i do some of my best thinking in the shower:)
ReplyDeleteI love this post....I identify with this post!
ReplyDeleteI always say I do my best thinking in the shower. And then I found out that due to the change of the molecular structure of the air we take in while showering, because of the hot water/steam, there is a scientific reason we think more clearly in there. Wild, huh?
And, I tend to pray quite a bit in the shower....probably due to the fact that I'm thinking more clearly! ;)
The honesty of this post is really lovely.
Hooray for change!!
i might just need that tonight. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been dealing with so much stress and anxiety lately, that sounds like just what I need. I'm glad it brought you some clarity.
