the red, white, and blue


this fourth of july, we:

1. rode bikes


2. sat on a bench at peet's and people watched


3. experimented with watermelon pop rocks and dr. pepper


4. laid out by the pool, read, and ate fishie crackers



5. watched the long beach fireworks shot off the queen mary. they were awful. seriously so disappointing. it's okay though. we'll just go to disneyland this summer - their fireworks will make up for it.


6. we borrowed a family. they fed us, gave us diet cokes, and chairs to sit in. don't you just love friendly people?? it almost made up for the pathetic fireworks.


7. made our own fireworks show! after several tries with sparklers:



we got this photo! love!

    I had a very similar day! Nothing too fancy schmancy but just nice and relaxed.
