actually

yesterday was a tough day.

so last night, levi & i ate our feelings & watched love actually 'til 2:00 in the morning.

and even though nothing was actually resolved, i went to bed very happy.

i posed this question on my twitter last night:

"help! i can't tell you the problem, but send me your best advice anyway. thanks in advance."

i loved all the advice i received, so i wanted to pose the same question here. leave me a comment with your best advice. i'm going to do a post later with some of my favorites. and who knows? maybe you'll hit the nail on the head!

(also, please don't worry. levi & i are fine; life is just hard sometimes...which i'm sure you understand.)

  2. When it's me:
Remember what you are under the label you're trying to slap on top of what you were made to be.
    When it's someone else:
Remember what they are without the labels you're trying to slap on top of who they're meant to be.

  6. pray.

it's all the advise I can ever give in rough times.

also remember that when other people are mean...it rarely never has ANYTHING to do with you personally. i am guilty of doing this and i hate it. i have to remember not to let my frustrations impact others.

  8. I totally understand how life can be difficult at times, I think I am facing that a bit now myself!

So, I thought I would share a few quotes with you, and truly hope all looks up very soon for you both!

"What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you."

    - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"We must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite hope."

    -Martin Luther King

"Problems are not stop signs, they are guidelines."

    - Robert Schuller

"Challenges and difficult times aren't just those things that occur to someone else. The secret is in learning to turn problems into positives and attacking each issue with action not inaction."

    - Byron Pulsifer

" Never underestimate your problem or your ability to deal with it."

    - Robert H. Schuller

I hope these help a bit and will be sending a few extra smiles your way! :) :) :)

  9. Do everything you can, the best that you can and pray for help with the rest.

I'm so sorry life's being so crazy right now. It's funny how things kind of tend to go nuts the closer really good things are to happening for us (and you're about get married and that is a really really good thing!) So keep positive, stay happy, and lean on those you love, don't push them away. (that's what I do sometimes when I'm struggling with a bad-life-situation and I wish I didn't.)

Hey! I'm totally on a roll—there's two pieces of advice and I didn't even realize it. I guess I just really want you to be happy! :)

  12. Remember to not sweat the small stuff. It's the one I have to tell myself everyday...sadly, the small stuff is all the stuff that keeps you awake at night, stacking on top of itself. Hang in there and it will all work out!

  13. Hmmm I would say life is too short to be unhappy. Those tough decisions, when they finally get resolved, it will all be worth it. I firmly believe that what is meant to be will be so I try to keep that in mind when things are hard. I really could go on and on but in summary I will say be happy, avoid regrets and live in the now!!!

  19. I watched Love Actually and ate my feelings with my roommates last night too! Cheered me right up!

My roommate always says, "Do what makes you feel free." I like that advice.
