my heart

i was tagged by cara for this one, and i really wanted to do it so here i go.

instructions: "with as much creativity as you can muster, show your heart in: a picture, a poem, a song (or piece of music), a phrase (or quote), an item of clothing, a place, and (just for fun) a disney princess. if you want to join in, tag 6 more blogs."

a picture

a poem
where the sidewalk ends
shel silverstein

there is a place where the sidewalk ends
and before the street begins,
and there the grass grows soft and white
and there the sun burns crimson bright,
and there the moon-bird rests from his flight
to cool in the peppermint wind.

let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
and the dark street winds and bends.
past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
we shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
and watch where the chalk-white arrows go
to the place where the sidewalk ends.

yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
and we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
for the children, they mark, and the children, they know
the place where the sidewalk ends.

Bolda song
{p.s. jude kissed me once. on the cheek. i thought i was going to faint.}

  7. Oh, I love Chagal!! So beautiful. I think the lace wedding dress is amazing - - what I like most about this tag is the way all the different elements work together to create a complex "picture" of "your heart". So cool!

i just adore your blog, i've been behind on reading, and it was wonderful to do some catching up. i did this tag a few weeks ago--i used a poem by shel, too! it was a hard tie between "where the sidewalk ends" and "put something in" - i ended up using the latter, but "sidewalk" is one of my all-time favorites!!

whoa! long comment! but...thank you for the cute post! i hope the move goes smoooooothly as possible.
