First of all, this counts as a dress???!! It's more like a tee shirt.
And secondly, I wore almost the EXACT same babydoll dress to my first school dance in the 6th grade when I was 11 years old, except mine was navy blue and had white daisies on it.
Isn't it weird when things you wore as a kid come back in style? It makes me feel a little bit old... and nostalgic. Long live the 90s!
(And, for the record, I did NOT buy this dress... waaaaay too short.)
oh, baby doll dresses and the early nineties.
ReplyDeletei have a flashback of sunflowers, ugly hats (the kind that fold up at the front..think blossom circa
1992) and kurt cobain.
hey, mine was yellow with pink flowers on it. i think there was a dorky little bow on the front too.
ReplyDeletep.s. i always wanted the red velvet-y one that claire danes wore on my-so-called life. i thought she was SOOO sophisticated!
ReplyDeleteI know! I remember when my mom would say, "I used to have something just like that when I was your age." Now I could say those same things!
ReplyDeleteOh man - this sure brings back memories! I was never allowed to wear such things, but I really wanted too!! Lol. What was I thinking? It's a pretty cute style, I guess, but way too short!!
ReplyDeleteI think I had that exact same dress. I used to want to be Blossom or Donna from Beverly Hills 90210.
ReplyDeletenot gonna lie...
ReplyDeletei think you look hot.
All you need to do is add a pair of Doc Marten combat boots and you are SET. Actually I still own mine... couldn't bring myself to get rid of them, although when I put them on, I can barely lift my own feet.
ReplyDeleteI had many dresses just like that :) And wow, they're making them short these days loL!
