IPA

Did you know that Levi is a bit of a beer aficionado? Apparently, we're snobby about the things we drink... except my love of Red Bull doesn't really fit into that equation.

Anyway, Levi's first favorite craft beer was Dead Guy Ale by Rogue, so he's always had a soft spot in his heart for this particular brewery. Obviously, we had to visit the Rogue Distillery while we were in Portland.

I called this trip Levi's IPA Tour of Portland and joked that his goal should be to smell like IPA the entire time. He loves that stuff. We also joked that EVERYTHING is a bar in Portland. "Hey there's a pharmacy! Oh wait, no. That's a bar." "Laundromat? Nope, it's a bar!"

  1. There was this great article in the NYT about summer cocktails and the best one was with an IPA-- you guys should try it! It's called the "Bitter End," and it's a shot of Campari (which I don't generally like) mixed with a cold IPA. Super refreshing and tasty!!!

  2. I've seen that beer before but I've never tried it! I'll definitely have to grab a bottle, or 6!

Oh, and Levi's shirt is super awesome!

  3. I'd always admired that Rogue grows all of their Hops and Barley in Oregon. Also I love their branding and painted bottles!

  4. You should come and visit downtown Stevens Point, WI. There are literally about 20 bars on our downtown square...which is only about 1/4 mile long. =)

  5. Lol - yup, beer and coffee. Portland is good at both. ;)
