so. what does one do when one arrives to one's destination after driving in the car for five hours?
feasts on wine and cheese, of course. duh!
after levi and i checked into our hotel, we scoped out our room then put together a cheese plate with some 'gredients we brought from home.
we had red wine, french roquefort, herbed goat cheese, cranberry-hazelnut crackers, baguette, italian red wine jelly, and raspberry chocolates.
(isn't that cheese board cute? it was an engagement present from one of my grandma's friends.)
i spread the roquefort on baguette with a little bit of red wine jelly, and i'm pretty sure my life will never be the same again. hooooooooooly cheesus, it was incredible.

then we tried to capture the GORGEOUS view from our balcony, but all we got were silly pictures...
(i was pretending to be blind...)
it was the perfect beginning to our cambria mini-moon.
Wow! I am "cheese" with envy :) LOL! It looks delish!

What fun little get-away! May I ask where you stayed? That balcony looks amazing.
ReplyDelete@alligatoralligator - we stayed at the cambria pines lodge in a large suite. they were running a really great winter getaway special so we got a good deal on the room. i highly recommend them. it feels a little like camp, but it's clean, and you can't beat the views. our room had two fireplaces! and each night includes a full breakfast in the morning.
ReplyDeleteum, you guys are making me very hungry for some soft delicous cheese!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteand you're super duper adorable together fyi.
