our weekend didn't go exactly as planned.
we didn't get to go apple picking.
we got a flat tire (again. 3rd this month).
we decided to skip the pumpkin patch since they don't even grow the pumpkins there.
my camera broke again, and dropping it didn't work this time. (these pictures were taken with the camera i don't like.)
and we haven't seen where the wild things are yet (maybe tonight).
we did:
watch away we go (loved it), hang out with my family, make hot apple cider, and carve pumpkins though!
my pumpkin:
levi
sometimes things don't go quite as planned, but you can still have fun anyway.
and that's the moral of this story.
your weekend looks amazing!!! love the pumpkins. unexpected plans are the best anyway!

I LOVE the cupcake! That is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I feel guilty when my weekends don't go as planned - especially when it comes to blowing off things around the house. But if it means quality time with my family it's worth it!
1. you still have time to go to the pumpkin patch.
ReplyDelete2. I did see Where the Wild Things are (see my blog post!) and it was lovely!
3. We carved pumpkins this weekend too (see other blog post, we named our pumpkin Yoshi)
4. sometimes not going as planned works out better
5. i hate car troubles!
The pictures look great! Maybe you will learn to love your new camera.
ReplyDeleteWe were also supposed to see Where the wild things are, but ended up dog sitting.
I'm glad you and Levi had a great weekend despite all the changes in plans!
ReplyDeleteCute pumpkins! And glad you still have fun. Yes, I miss real pumpkin patches.. aren't too many of them in So Cal.
ReplyDeleteheheh...I so know what you mean! xoxo
ReplyDeletecupcake pumpkin!! how cute!!
ReplyDeleteLove your cupcake pumpkin (and the moral to your story!)
ReplyDeleteyour pumpkins turned out cute!!! we wanted to go apple picking too, but we skipped it...we did make it to the patch though!
ReplyDeleteCute pumpkins! Im hoping we can do that soon!
ReplyDeleteyou are good at carving pumkins. I like how the parents at the beginning of 'Away We Go' just move out of the country a month before the baby is born and how Maggie Gyllenhaal's character was so weird. I loved the whole stroller part and the beautiful beach house they move into at the end.
ReplyDeleteLove your pumpkin, and I also didn't get to see Where the Wild things Are :( Hopefully you get to see it tonight or sometime this week!
ReplyDeleteoh cute pumpkins!! i hope i get around to doing this soon, i want to get more into the halloween spirit!!
ReplyDeleteStill sounded like a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWTWTA was awsome and you've still got plenty of time!
you liked away we go? i was not keen on it all.
Those pumpkins look awesome! And I haven't seen "Where the Wild Things Are" yet either, but I'd love to!
ReplyDeleteYour pumpkins are too cute! Sounds like the weekend turned out great anyway :)
ReplyDeleteyou can have fun anywhere anytime if you set your mind to it! (: glad that you had soo much fun carving pumpkins! i LOOOVE the cupcake you carved, you did briliantly (; I want to carve pumpkins too, but I'm sooo scared it goes badly. I've NEVER done it before!
ReplyDeleteFantastic pumpkin. And you saw Away We Go so all in all, a good time was had.
ReplyDeletegood moral, I enjoy! x
ReplyDeleteWell done on the pumpkin carving!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your pumpkins, we did that too this weekend. I posted pictures on my blog...it involved powertools....and I still haven't seen Where The Wild Things Are either. Or Away We Go for that matter...I need to catch up!
ReplyDeleteI drop my camera ALL the time, I'm amazed it still works. maybe next weekend will be apple picking weekend :P
ReplyDeleteIt's a good moral.
ReplyDeleteAnd I loove your cupcake pumpkin! I carved one too, but (as you'll soon see), it didn't come out as good as yours!
the cupcake pumpkin is so cute. i don't blame you for not going to a pumpkin patch that doesn't even grow the pumpkins. i watched away we go last week, my favorite part is when he starts trying to raise the baby's heart after she says something to him about it and he just starts randomly screaming and cussing at her! hahahaha.
ReplyDeleteHa! I love these pumpkins -- I think we're going to do ours soon!
ReplyDeleteWe have 7.. though I think just 3 of those are for carving!
