we had the hardest time figuring out dinner last night.
so we went our separate ways.
here's what i ended up with:
for my appetizer:
parmesan fishies
(in the official snack container levi surprised me with a couple months ago)
for my plat principal:
your eyes are not deceiving you. that is, indeed, grocery store sushi accompanied by garlic bread.
and for dessert?
buttermilk eggos and watermelon.
i am not pregnant.
very interesting meal! Looks good though! :)
ReplyDeleteha! love it :)
ReplyDeletei am addicted to those goldfish crackers - except for me it's the original cheddar ones (never tried the parmesan ones - might have to!) and i have been wanting ones of those snack containers! will have to add it to my xmas wish list for the husband :D
That actually all sounds really good.
ReplyDeleteAnd the sushi helps prove you aren't pregnant.. can't eat that when you are. :)
Hahaha. I love that you clarify that you're not pregnant. :) I love random meals like this, though. They're the best.
ReplyDeletelast night for dinner I had wine and mike and ikes. yay for being bad grown ups.
ReplyDeleteI would eat toaster waffles as appetizer, entree and dessert any day. LOLz
ReplyDeletehahahah you're awesome. i especially love your choice of appetizer.
ReplyDeleteS
xx
hahaha that is too funny! I had macaroni followed by apples with caramel dip for desert. Not quite as eclectic...but still a little odd. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome. Creative menu, only a true culinary genius would think to pair Sushi and Garlic Bread.
ReplyDeleteFanatic! Even Martha looks impressed! :)
delish- glad to see you got the new martha mag too LOL :) xoxo boots
ReplyDeleteha ha love the last comment - I am not pregnant. Dinner looks delish!
ReplyDeleteps: I am hosting a Perricone MD giveaway in case you are interested.
hahaha Quite the combination.
ReplyDeletehaha jasmine! i have to tell you, i have the weirdest eating habits too. i literally eat exactly what i am craving and i'm so particular about it. like sometimes i will have berries, apples and yogurt for dinner, but they have to be in separate bowls so i can dip the fruit individaully in the yogurt... i'm a freak!
ReplyDeletedude. i would totally trade something for wedding makeup/hair lessons! BUT i have nothing to trade that you don't already know how to do!
ReplyDeleteHaha...you eat like a kid. I love it :)
ReplyDeletehaha you crack me up!!
ReplyDeletelol!!! when i only have to cook for myself, i eat crazy too!
ReplyDeleteYour meal reminds me of my usual nights without my Chef/Hubby around to cook delicious meals for me. But nevertheless, it still looks good. Interesting combo but good.
ReplyDeletehaha that is how i eat! i love it! you are awesome!
ReplyDeleteha ha i always do this... i can't decide what i want to eat so then i just eat a little bit of everything and end up feeling ill...
ReplyDeleteyou are a true gourmet! goldfish and eggos!
haha i feel ya! tonight i had ravoli and sushi. and then i put cheese on my miso soup... i don't know.
ReplyDeleteSometimes when you crave a bunch of stuff you just can't help it.
ReplyDeleteStone and I call those nights 'hodge podge nights'....and I love them!
Haha, this is me too! I have a bad habit of throwing all of the random snacky tidbits in the cupboard together as a meal.
ReplyDeletesometimes you just have to go with the strange and wonderful
ReplyDeleteif you're an eggo fan -- stock up! kellogg's is predicting a shortage and gonna be rationing thru mid-2010 -- i kid you not!
ReplyDeleteHeheh...you eat like Bella! Only she would trade the sushi for chocolate cookies. xoxo
ReplyDeleteYou better ration out those waffles- Leggo is having a shortage. No joke!
ReplyDeletei love it. "i am not pregnant."
ReplyDeleteThat fishie container is such a darling!
