Hmm... Hey Ya by Outkast, Switch by Will Smith ( a guilty pleasure :), Jungle Boogie, Let's stay together by Al Green, Joy of my Life by John Fogerty, Heavenly Day by Patti Griffin.
Have fun... I can't believe the wedding is in just a few days!
'oxford coma' by the vampire weekend is great i also love anything by sweet (think 'ballroom blitz')
jet's 'are you gonna be my girl' is also very good oh! robert randolph and the family band has some awesome tunes as well, try ' i need more love'.
this reminds me of our awesome playlist that we never played and that got lost right after the wedding... i had hand picked every single song from it... so sad
i usually love a good mix of fun oldies (that ALL of your guests will know and want to dance to), and favorite songs from the 80's-90's (you know, songs everyone our age would be excited to dance to). a couple weeks ago i went to a fun wedding with a big mix of music and the favorites turned out to be old-school michael jackson and the black eyed peas' "i got a feeling." i'm so sick of that black eyed peas song, but when it came on at the wedding it was just Perfect!
The Mister and I got married in September and our first dance was "I Could Hold You In My Arms" by Ray LaMontagne (long, but we had people join us on the dance floor after a couple minutes.) Don't Stop Believin' by Journey is always a good one...probably one of my favorite moments of our wedding was when that song came on and literally 50 or 60 people got in a big circle and sang together... Mix it up a lot, our DJ played a mix of stuff from an iPod and old records from the 60's and 70's and everyone had a good time.
