even though summer doesn't start 'til 21 june (and in southern california, it feels like it doesn't start 'til mid-july), levi & i have already started brainstorming a list of summer diversions.
1. plenty of beach days with strips for lunch (of course)
2. day trips to beaches we haven't visited
3. daytime bbqs with friends by the pool
4. family field trips to places like the getty & the huntington library
5. the fair!!!!
6. hikes
7. lots of tennis
8. lots of yoga
9. lots of basketball (for levi, not me)
10. lots of bike rides
11. a train trip to the san diego zoo
12. an overnight trip to santa barbara
13. kayaking by our house
14. boating in newport beach (we have a groupon!)
15. a monday afternoon trip to balboa for frozen bananas
16. at least two nights at the hollywood bowl
it might just be the best summer everrrrr.
Love these and it is never too early! :) Also, you are seriously the 20th plus blog since yesterday that I have thought...hmmm...why have I not seen updates from this person...well, silly Google Friend Connect appears to have suddenly un-follwed you and apparently most of my favorite blogs, at least everyone so far! Grrrr...well, I'll show it...I'm following again! So sorry...I love you blog and now must catch back up! I hope you are having a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!!!

Sounds like fun! Random question from a non-american, what are strips? :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like an exciting summer! Please document when you've done each one!

ReplyDeleteAhhh! That sounds absolutely amazing! I can't wait to hear about all these lovely events.
ReplyDeleteHa, as soon as I saw the "boating in Newport Beach," I instantly thought of Seth Cohen from The OC. These look like fantastic lists! What a blessing that you two can do all these things together. Vince and I are hoping to be able to afford a camping trip nearby this summer. That would be awesome. <3
ReplyDeleteSounds great!! I love making lists like this, I think I have a pretty good summer one, too!
