these are some of the last photos we'll be taking as residents of downtown long beach.

WE GOT THE APARTMENT! 

we're moving to belmont shore on june 15 (two days before my birthday)!

we already gave them our deposit and everything.

belmont shore is a really nice area of long beach full of amazing homes, great restaurants, and shopping. (not to mention, my favorite candy store and cupcake shop!)

it's a really great neighborhood and a close knit community that we are so excited to become a part of.

our new one bedroom  (oh my goshness no more studio apartment living for us!!) apartment is suuuper cute, and our complex has a pool! just in time for summer!

we always feel pretty lucky because we have each other, but right now we feel like THE LUCKIEST people on the planet!

we used up the rest of our film yesterday. i looooove this little camera. it is SO much fun.

this couple (behind us) saw us taking our picture and thought the camera was so neat that they smiled too.

we got their autographs. :)

p.s. levi and i applied for an apartment we LOVE (and can actually afford!!) in our favorite neighborhood yesterday. it's seriously perfect. we're really hoping we get it, but whatever is meant to be, will happen.

I just found an apartment I LOVE! Levi loves it too based on the pictures I showed him. Good area, hardwood floors, super nice kitchen & bathroom, and just soooo cute! The only problem is that it's $110 more a month than we pay now. :/ So in order to afford this place, I need to get one of the jobs I've applied for really soon. It seems like I should be able to easily find a way to make at least $110 a month! But it hasn't been up to this point.

Please pray for us! I know everything will work out how it's meant to, but we'd be super excited if the plan included us getting this apartment.

ummm....yeah

so in the post below, i sound all calm and patient about not being able to move IMMEDIATELY, but now that i am sitting here listening to my jerkface, inconsiderate, low-life, LOUD neighbors drop pile after pile of wood a story up into the dumpster below, my serenity has left me.

I HATE IT HERE.

the end of another "weekend"

Well, our "weekend" is over today (we have a Monday/Tuesday weekend because Levi's a hair stylist). It was freakin exhausting and, honestly, involved a little too much bickering for both our tastes. Apartment hunting will do that to you, especially since we have soooo many limitations in what we can afford and the very specific area we want to live in. There aren't a whole lot of studios where we want to live, and the cheapest one bedrooms are a couple hundred out of our reach. Ugh. We have decided to sit tight and keep looking. We don't want to be hasty again and end up in a place that's less than suitable. We'll find something. It's just going to take longer than we thought.

So there's a possibility that I might have a temporary job pretty soon! I'm afraid to talk about it for fear of jinxing it, but jinxes aren't real so I need to get over that. Levi's salon's owner wants to have me help out doing "express facials" at the salon a couple days a week for a couple months. A few times a year, they hire people to sell a ton of these "visit" packages that allow new clients to come to the salon four different times to have four different services performed, all for under $50. The other estheticians don't really want to do all the "visit" facials, so that's where I would come in to help out. I would get hourly pay and tips. We're really hoping it works out! The money would help tremendously. 

And to sum up our weekend, here are some photos from Ivy's family birthday celebration. My mom made steak, corn on the cob, a SUPER delicious salad (I actually skipped the steak because this salad was so good), and strawberry shortcake for dessert. We also had a tumultuous game of charades (I get WAY too competitive during charades), and Levi watched the Lakers game. :) Unfortunately, my brother is NOWHERE to be found in these photos. He was downstairs changing the oil in his car. Weirdo!
