fun with proust, take five - jasmine

i decided that it was my turn to do one of these. and it was hard. funnily enough, the question i struggled with the most was number one. i spend most of my time trying to figure out how i can make myself, and everything else, perfect, yet i struggled with thinking of my idea of perfect happiness. that was a bit of an eye opener...

1. what is your idea of perfect happiness?
levi. babies. disneyland.

2. what is your most treasured possession?
i think that would have to be my blankie. it's tattered & torn, but i will never throw it away. it's my ee-ee, and i love it.

3. what is your greatest fear?
the unknown. so on a bad day - everything. and cancer.

4. which talent would you most like to have?
i would love to be a significantly better dancer. like sytycd-stage-worthy-my-body-does-what-i-tell-it-to-when-i-tell-it-to good. it seems like it would be so freeing & joyful to be a true master of dance.

5. what or who is the greatest love of your life?
levi. he's my hero. and i'm not being silly when i say that. he truly is.

6. what is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
i don't like how hard it can be for me to just snap out of it. once i get in a funk, it can take me weeks to truly move beyond it. i wish i had more control over my thoughts & moods. i'm working on it.

7. what do you value most in your friends?
loyalty, sincerity, and, right now, availability

since it's my blog, i decided that i get to have two favorite photos. unfair, right?

one that makes me laugh:

and my real favorite:

  1. This is a cute little survey. I like a lot of your anwers! I might borrow this idea, haven't done a blog post in a while.

  2. i love that last photo! you look so beautiful and elegant!

  3. You're so beautiful jasmine! And babies are a great example of perfect happiness!

  4. ooh i love that b&w picture of you! you look very sytycd worthy!

  5. I am with you on #4! I wish I were a better dancer too. It is frustrating for your body not to move with what you see in your head that your body should be doing! I would love to be able to express myself in the way that the SYTYCD dancers are able to. Jealous!

  6. Those are genious photos! Oh Gosh how I love those Proust questionaries... I've read each of them several times.
    #1 & 7 are brilliant! <3

  7. Yay! I still have my baby blanket too. I love it so much still. It makes me feel comfortable. :) I want to do one for me. These questionaires are fun!

  8. You're favourite photo of yourself is really beautiful. like gracious and serene..

and your answers to the questions are so honest. i like them! :)

  9. I love that last photo of you! So lovely :)

  10. I am the same way with my moods. It can be so frustrating! The last picture of you is like out of a magazine! XO

  11. i love the last photo!! lovely form in your arms. you can always be a dancer, i just started dancing again and you just have to work at a little harder than those 7 year old girls that are made out of elastic like gumby.

  12. you are so sweet. disney world (i live in FL) is definitely on my happy list, too!

  13. That photo of you on the ledge is so dreamy! I love it!

  14. you TOTALLY remind me of twiggy! you are just too darn cute, jasmine. oh, the unknown and especially CANCER freak me out. big time.

  15. I want to be you when I grow up, and I really want a levi.
    I <3<3<3 yous guys!

  16. love your answers and that is SO funny...I was going to say that you remind me of twiggy too!!

  17. My most treasured possessions would have to be my Jenny Bear, blankie, and engagement ring. My blankie was made by my great grandma and given to my mom before I was born. I love it!

  18. i love these posts you do! and that last picture is goorrrgeous!
